What I like about this movie is James Franco acting was fantastic! I like the part when he has outburst of anger scenes these scenes happened multiple times! through out the movie!

It's a true story it's the same thing as a woman being a prostitute or a stripper u think that's all yr worth…u can go back to school and make something out of yr life ..never settle for less because people say u can't.
This may seem like a good career move for a guy, but it gets old pretty fast. Not that I would know – I'm just guessing. Either way, fabulous move. Everything about it was outstanding.

At first, I thought Albert might shoot and kill Henry over his (Henry's) annoying Gin win; then I thought the old coots would get robbed while trying to close up; but the truck crashing into Henry's car, the explosion and the closing of the scene with the hat on the ground…, priceless.
121mins into this mess and I don't know what to made of the barn scene. In a given month, she has about twenty five men in her and she just finished a scene with an ODB in her (and Franco was in an ODB too, just a different "B") and here they are talking about having a "normal" life together. Abnormal is more like it.
The laughter I got from reading a few of these horrendous comments compensated for this porno flick. I sat through it (titty flick and all) to see if there was going to be a death or two, especially from any one of the old tramps (a heart attack, shooting or stroke when a husband walks in on the policeman scene would have been great). This movie after all is billed as a drama/crime flick and the only crime committed was having to put Franco through those nasty scenes with dirty old broads. Nasty.

depressing story of a mans life that was filled with negativity and pain yet when faced with the opportunity to break free of his troubled past and start fresh in a new direction on a more positive enriched meaningful life was held back by his own psychological limitations put on him by himself he refuses to grasp the opportunity only to remain traped in the misery and despair he longed to escape, very good movie with a great cast of actors and actresses, James Franco shines in the role of Sonny a troubled young man who desperately wants a better life but who's fears and doubts psychologically immobilizes him from making the transition, Scott Caan alo delivers a exceptional performance as well as cast members Nicholas Cage Brenda Vaccaro Harry Dean Stanton Mena Suvara and Josie Davis, very good film and worth the watch, thank you YouTube.👍

Wow this doesn't surprise me at all male prostitutes I guess when we think of prostitution we always just think of women but I'm sure this happens way more often than what we think I enjoyed the movie
